THE ELLIOT STREET ARC LAMP.

TO THE EMTOB. Sin,—lt would he interesting to know why the arc lamp at the corner of Devon and Elliot streets is to be removed to the corner of King and Egmont streets, eloso to the Taranaki Club. There aro two are lamps already shedding light on this street, and why another is to be plated there passes comprehension. I venture to say that 'he East End electors will show that they are going to end this sort of thing, by voting for the man who has been brought forward in the interests of the people, against the clique responsible for this sort of things, viz., Mr Dock, rill. Bob us of our rights, forsooth, we'll know the reason why to-day.— I am, etc., East Endeb.
