The " Now Plymouth gig," as builc by Messrs Honnor and Clark, the wellkuown coach and carriage builders 111 Liurdet street, is a combination of unusual strength, durability, comfort, and elegance. Yesterday we had an opportunity of closely inspecting oue made to the order of a local resident. It was built of kauri, with Warner wheels of ironbark spokes ana hie-, kory rims, and shafts of the best spotted gum. The seat and back are upholstered in real leather, a dark green. The body of the vehicle, which is roomy and lit to carry any amount 1 of parcels without obtruding them on the public gaze, is painted dark green, picked out in black, and lined in straw colour. It has lowered sides, picked out in line gold and straw colour, whilst the dark green wheels arc picked out willi black aud lined in straw also. I{ubber lyres, with halfCollins axles, three platform springs aud a special spring motion for the shafts completed a very handsome and useful gig.
