Furniture, etc., sold at prices in favor f purchasers. Eru.it has been selling at the following rates : Choice cooking tipples 5s per case, 2s per box, dessert apples Is (id to 4s per box, (is (id to 8s per case, pears 4s to 9s, cooking pears 2s Gd to 3s 6d, poaches 4s 6d, oranges (is to Bs, lemons ss, quinces 3s to 4s 6d. Cattle: A t Stratford, on Tuesday, ow. ing to the holidays, there was a smaller yarding and attendance than usual. Weancrs made 2s 6d to 15s, the latter being an exceptionally good line; 18 months to 2-year steers 375, store cows 20s to 30s, forward do. £2 to £2 10s, fat do. £4 2s 6d to £4, bulls £2 to £2 16s. At Eahotu, on Thursday, owing to the rain, there was a small muster and attendance. Weancrs made 7s Gd to 10s, mixed yearlings 21 s, ,18 to 20 months heifers 28s, steers 29s fid, 21 to 3.J do. £2 10s to £2 13s (id, 2-year do. 395, store cows £2 to £2 7s, fat do. £4.
VIOKEKS AND STEVENS' REPORT.
Tickers anil Stevens report that owiug to the wet weather there was oaly a small entry of cattle in their Inglcwood yards on Wednesday. Sood weaners made from 7s (id to Ms 6d, 15 to 18 mouths LI 10s, store cows LI 4s to L2 2s, fat eows L 3 15s, 2 to 4 tootli wethers 1:1s 6d.
BEWLEY AND GRIFFITHS' REFORT.
Although the Easter vacation interfered somewhat with tlif business of the last week, we have to again report on another large entry of poultry. Despite our extensive accommodation, we were obliged to erect temporary pens. With a good audience of buyers, we were successful in realising excellent prices, and quote: Cockerels Is 3d to 2s Id, liens Is 2d to Is lid, pullets Is 3d to 2s 10,1, pure Brown Leghorn pullets 3s Ud. to os each, White Leghorns 4s to 4s 3d, chicks lid, ducks Is lid to 2s 2d (good demand for prime table birds) Fruit.—The supply this week has been bare, local apples being the bulk of the supply, and selling from Is (id upwards, according to size of case. Pears, good demand, fetching 5s to 7s; tomatoes, Is (id to "M (s.mall cases); grapes, poor, 4 per lb ; vegetables at usual marketable rates; marrows and pumpkins (good inquiry), 7d to Is 6d, according to size. Furniture, etc.: Wc bad a large entry of some really good stuff, the bulk of it changing hands to the advantage of buyers.
BUCKLAND & SON'S HEPOBT. Auckland, April 20. Beef, in average supply, and prices firm at late quotations. Steers, from £0 to £lO 10s, eows £4 10s to £8 ss. Sheep, in usual supply, sold freely. Wethers, up to 24s 9b, ewes to 235, lambs to 18s 9d. Pigs were scarce.
