PERSONAL.
Miss Freda Perry has taken up her duties as cadet in the New Plymouth Borough Council offices, in succession to Miss Dorothy Kent, who recently resigned, in order to enter the matrimonial state. On Saturday last, she was married to Mr 0.1. Lovegrove, of Wellington, and has already left for her new home.
Mr E. M. Smith, M.H.R., has received a communication from Sir H. CampbcU-Bannerman's private secretary, acknowledging and thanking him congratulations forwarded by Mr Smith, and other prominent New Plymouth Liberals on the victory of the Liberal Party in Great Britain. Mr J. B. Boy has been nominated for the New Plymouth Mayoralty.
Mr C. U . Taylor lias been returned unopposed for the Eltham Mayoralty. Mr Tayler has filled the Mayoral chair since Eltham was constituted a borough, and has fought two coutesled elections.
