He be lieved parents would be satisfied with the Government's retention of the Cowper-Temple clauso with regard to teachings.
NON-CONFORMIST VIEWS. ANGLICANS AND ROMANISTS TOO GENEROUSLY TREATED. Received 18, 10.50 p.m. London, April 17. Dr. Clifford, the celebrated divine, of Passive Resistance fame, interviewed, states that between 1833 and 1901, the sum of ninety millions sterling has been spent out of rates for eduoatioH in Church schools. The Education Bill treated Anglicans and Romanists too generously.
CONDEMNED BY LABOR PARTY SECURAL EDUCATION WANTED Received 18,11,20 p.m. London, April 18. The Independent Labor Conference condemned the Education Bill, on the ground tliat it Aid not provide for secural education.
