WESTERN PARK BALL.
The public ball promoted in aid of the fund' for the improvement of Western Park, which eventuated at the Theatre Eoyal on Easter Monday night, was a huge success. The attendance was very large, about three hundred tickets being amounted for at the doors. The floor was in splendid condition, and the music supplied by Mr James' orchestra made dancing a pleasure. A sumptuous supper was served in up-to-date style, for the providing of which especial credit is due to the ladies who have had the affair in hand. Space forbids a detailed report, which "alone could'ao the function tile justice it deserves. Too much credit for the gratifying result, j however, cannot be given to Mrs A.
