A GOVERNOR BLOWN TO PIECES.
A NEW PRESS LAW. I St. Pktebsburg, April 8. General Slepztoff, Governor of Tver, was driving in the principal street of Tver, when bombs were thrown. Tho General's trunk and head were hurled yards, one of the legs remaining in the vehicle. The explosion injured three ladies, two boys, and the coachman seriously. A suspect, aged 18, has besn arrested. General Slepztoff was frequently threatened, owing to his countenancing the massacre of Zemstvoists at Tver in October. An ukase promulgates a new press law placing every Russitm newspaper at tho mercy of the Government.
