■^—-—-. Tlie fifth minimi general meeting of the Ciirrington Road Hockey Club was lield at Mr McEwcn's residence on Monday. About 25 members and prospective members were present. Mr B. McEwen presided. The ami-! it report showed that the Club had h.id a very successful season, although its team had not captured the championship. The play and combin. ation of the team h id improved greatly, and this was very satisfactory indeed, as the Club h id been weakened by losing two of their best members (the bros. Mo A Hum), who had thrown in their lot with inglewood, The balance-sheet showed the Club to be in a good financial position, after a partieularly he ,vy season as regarded expenses. The election of officers resultod as follows: President, G. T. Bayly, Esq. j Messrs Saxton, Theo. Foot. Liurent, T. W. McEwen, Benbow, N. King, and R. Cook; captain, Mr P. G. McEwen j vice-oaptain, Mr A. Marett; seoretary and treasurer, Mr B! MoEweni auditor, Mr H. W. Saxton ; dolegatc to Association, Mr.W. H.Perhami general committee, Messrs Jordan, Upton, Hudson, Arch. McEwen, and Arthur McEwen; selection committee, Messrs P. G, McEwen, Perham, and Marett. The following new members wcro elected: Messrs Upton, Fort, Hooker, Cole, McEwen, Robertson, Hennessoy, and Thomas, It was decided to raiso the annual subscription to ss, in order that necessary work might be done on the ground. A hoarty vote of thanks was ten. dercd to Mr Saxton for the use'of the ground, and the meeting terminated, Subsequently all present were cntaiucd by Mr and Mrs McEwen at a ' social evening.
