Definition of a HackNo liorse shall start ill any Hack Race which has at any time, prior to the time of entry, won a race of the value of £BO to th<? winner, or races of the aggregate value of £2OO to the winner. The winner of any flat race . after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs; of two or more such races, 141bs; horses handicapped at Bst 71bs or over, half the above penalics. All entries to be sealed and addressed to the Secretary Manaia, with name, age, colour and pedigree of horse, name of owner, colours of the rider, and performances of the horses. Entries by wire must be confirmed in writing at the earliest opportunity. All races to be run under the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Racing Conference of New Zealand. Owners are particularly reminded that all entries must be accompanied by cash, cheque, or P.O. order. This rule will be strictly enforced. Only members of (lie Bookmakers' Association or Tattersall's will be permitted to ply their calling on the course on the day of the races, and they will be charged a fee of Five Guineas for this privilege.
