Mr A. K. Blundell, Chief Stock Inspector, has been on a visit k> New Plymouth and distrint for a few days. He returns to Wellington to-day. Mr D. C. Mrlntvre. travelling commissioner for the International Exhibition, arrived in New Plymouth last evening from Onehunga, and is staying at the White Hart Hotel. Mr R. L. Mestayor, who designed the New Plymouth drainage, electrical and water works, was in town yesterday, staving at the Criterion Hotel, Charles W. Gorrard, 8.A., at present headmaster of the I'apanui school (Christchurcii) was selected last night by the Auckland Education Board, from among thc;32 applicants, for the position of inspector of schools in the Auckland district.
