INFLUENCE OF. CHINESE LABOR. Sydsey, March 27. JU Australian who has returned from a visit after ten years' mining experience Johannesburg, says the abolition of Chinese labor means the loss of employment by many thousands of white men. He stales the reports in regard to crimes and bad behaviour by the Chinese in South Africa have been greatly exaggerated. The mass of them are well behaTed and do their irork well. Tho reports in regard lo ill-treatment by mine owners is untrue.
THE QUESTION OF REPATRIATION. CHINESE NOT YET INFORMED. Received 24,11.34 p.m. London, March 20. Winston Churchill states that tic Chinese in tuo Transvaal have not been informed that they are free to return to China, as the mode of procedure is still under consideration.
