ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
PPB PRBfIS ASSOCIATION. Dannkvibkk, March 26. A man 1 named Albert. aged -19, a well-known contractor,'dred suddenly at Weber on Saturday. At an inquest, the jury returned a verdict that he died from drinking an overdose of laudanum whilst suffering from the effects of drink. A prohibition order was made against deceased on Saturday mora'ng. He then remarked that those, concerned would be sorry for what they had done. He leaves a wife (an invalid) and eight children. A child, two years old, son of Mr James Bennett, platclajer, of Orepuki, was playing with a loaded revolver on Sunday afternoon, when the weapon exploded, the charge,entering the abdomen. The condition of the victim is critical, LAME. A distressing fatality occurred at Orepuki on Sunday. A man named Bennett left a loaded pea rifle on a sofa. His six-yoar-old daughter picked it up and the charge explodod, entering the abdomen of her two-year-old brother, who died to-day. CiiKisTcuußcii, March 26.
A man named Clark was killed at Halswcll this morning. Ho was repairing a truck, and while underneath the supports gave way, and the truck fell on him*

At the inquest touching the death of William Clark, who was fatatly crushed by the fall of the front part of a waggon of metal at Halswell quarry, the jury returned a verdict of acci. dental death, with a rider to the effect that tho Electrical Construction Company should have had an experienced man to supervise the work.
