WELLINGTON WHARF ACCOMMODATION.
I'lilt PHBSB ASSOCIATION. Welmnuton, March 22. At to-day's meeting of the Harbor Board a letter was read from the Curriers Union of Employers complaining of the delays caused by shortage of labor on the wharves. The Secretary's reply was that quicker despatch could not be given with tho present accommodation. A member of the Board said that matters in this respect had reached a very acuto stage, and lie was convinced that the management of the Board refused to supply sullleieut laborers to cone with the work. That was false economy and resulted in very grievous trouble, carriers being sometimes unable to get goods for four, live, or seven days. He moved that a committce be set up to enquire into the matter. The Secretary said the whole secret of the matter was that the sheds were 100 small fur the work. The accommodation at the Queen's wharf was utterly insufficient. The motion to set up a committee of enquiry was agreed to.
