IMMIGRANTS.

PES PBESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, March 21. The steamer Essex, which arrived from Liverpool this evening brings another batch of 60 immigrants to the colony. Forty of the numbor aro men of ages ranging from 19 to 51, 34 being under 40, and a large proportion between 20 and 30. There are 10 women, and 19 children under the age of 18 years. Sixteen of the ,40 men have chosen Auckland as their destination. One family of three is hound for GisIjore, another of live fur Nelson, and the remainder intend to seek their fortunes in the Empire City. T.ic usual variety of callings is represented on the list of occupations. There are five laborers in the batch, three being bound for Wellington and two for Auckland.
