♦——— TEH MESS ASSOCIATION. Nelson March '2O. The annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce was held to-night. Th? chairman, Mr Coek, in his address, spoke of the gcuoral prosperity of the colony, and hopeful indications of the future, but pointed to the desirability of thrift. He showed that in the past four years there were only four bankruptcies in the Nelsou district, the liabilities aggregating WM. Mr F. W. Hamilton, of E, Buxton and Company, v.us elected chairman for the ensuring year.
