RECEPTION IN WELLINGTON. PElt MUSS ASSOCIATION, WEllington', March I). Tlie Wellington and South Island members of the New Zealand football team were welcomed back to-night by the Mayor. It was proposed to hold a reception in the small concert room at the fowu Hall, but this room was far too small to accommodate all who sought admission, and an adjournment was made to the large main hall. Iu this two thousand people gathered and gave tlie players a very hearty welcome. Speeches of congratulation were given by the Mayor, the Hon. W. HallJones, and others, Mr Stead responding on behalf of the team. The Southerners went south by the Mararou.
