The cost of the new portion, which includes stage and stage fittings, wins £2BO. Most of the money, as usual, must be raised by local enterprise', and the Christy Minstrels, by their concerts and dances, netted a clean profit of S.lO. lhis is uu excellent proof of the interest displayed by residents, and their determination to have proper conveniences. The present roll number is [)'J, The Creiiui athletic sports meeting, on March Slh, promises to he very successful. Quite a number of r:inners here are training hard in order to carry oil' some of the good prize-money offered, and good entries are expected. Mr E. F. Amooi'c is not sparing lime or attention, and the committee is ably supporting hint. The Government Vet., Captain V'ouug, will inoculate calves here on Friday and Saturday next.
