WEDDING.

IiENNELL—FOOTE. A very pretty wedding, and one in which considerable interest was evinced, was celebraled in the Anglican Church at To llenui on Thursday afternoon, when Mr t'. S. Ueuuell.son of Mr Clarence lienncll, of New Plymouth, and acting-secretary of I lie New 'Plymouth Harbor Bonn!, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony In Miss Foote, daughter of Mr .1. Foole, of Fitzroy. The Yen Archdeacon Cole was the olliciatin ; clergyman. and the service was fully choral. Miss Chong presiding at the organ.

The bride was given away by her father, and was exquisitely dressed in a beautiful white Parisienne lawn, lavishly tucked and inscrtioncd, over a white glace silk. She wore a line veil and the luual wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a pretty bouquet of choice white flowers. The bride was attended by Miss Violet Rcnncll, sister of the bridegroom, and her sister, Miss Irene Foote, the bridesmaids being attired in pretty dreises of heliotrope silk grenadine, shirred and insertioned, over glace silk, aim wore heliotrope and white hats. Mr W. A. Cathro acted as best man, and Mr Evcrard Gilmour as groomsman. The bride wore a beautiful bangle set with rubies and diamonds, the gift of the bridegroom, who also presented to the bridesmaids a gold neck chain and gold bauglc, respectively.

After the ceremony, a reception was held at the residence of the bride's parents, only the relations and very intimate friends of the families being invited. The usual toasts were proposed and honored. Mrs Foote received in a handsome costume of black gauze, silk tlowered chiffon, over white glace silk; Mrs Frank Foote (Nelson) wore black silk voile with cream lace ; Mrs A. Foote, black silk; Miss lienncll, lavender crepoliuc, richly insertioned; Miss ]'.. lienncll, pearl grey costume, with green , hat; Miss L. Foole, black; Mrs A. B. R. Fookes, green, with hat to match ; Mrs Mills, fawn costume; Misses I and C. Foote, black; Mrs Hughes, black

costume, trimmed with cream lace and insertion. The young couple were the recipients of scores of congratulatory messages during the afternoon, and recciveij a tine array of presents, which included many iisclul as well as ornamental articles. Mr and Mrs lienncll left the same evening for Hawera, en route for Christchurch, where the honey-' moon will be spent. The bride's (ravelling dress was a very pretty grey costume, with a chic heliotrope hat.
