OUR MONEY LENDERS.
LONDON FINANCIERS TAKING UMBRAGE. Received 22, H.5,S p.m. Mkliioi'iink, February 22. The " Age" says, in connection with the New Zealand loan, '"lt, seems the .London financiers are by no means pleased at being passed by. The latter have for so long controlled Australasian borrowings, that it seems to be feared the 'break-away' is coming on, and this instead of, as we been led to expect, bemg^regarded with satisfaction, has had precisely the [opposite effect. Indeed, as far as New Zealand is concerned, a representative of that colony in London has already been warned that should there lie any Imther diversions from the London market, arrangements for all conversions will have to be iiijidc elsewhere. idenlly London does not want to lose Australasian business, hence the federated Slates may get better terms in the future."
