THE RELIGION CONTROVERCY. Received 21, 10.5 p.m. Sydney, February 21. Cardinal Moran, in an interview, said that the ibelief that Princess Ena's | change of religion was the outcome of au order from t he Holy See, was wrong. The laws of Spain demanded that her Killers must be catholics, aud in conformity with those laws, the Princess was turning to the Roman Church. If she decides to marry, she must obey the laws ol ker adopted country. As a matter of fact, the Cardinal thought the stir had been caused by the catholic Princesses of Europe, who were naturally envious at King Alfonso choosing a protcstanf wife. Spain has been an unhappy country for many years, said the Cardinal, and lie hoped the advent of an Euglish Princess would bring peace.
