THE GOVERNOR'S VISIT.

WEDNESDAY S PROGRAMME,

His Excellency the Governor, Lord Plunkett, and parly will arrive in New Plymouth to-morrow morning by the Rarawa from Auckland, and will stay at the Criterion Hotel.

Al eleven o'clock he will receive His Worship the Mayor and Borough Councillors of New Plymouth and the members of the district. The whole party will then be driven to the Hospital and the Old People's Home, and after inspection a visit will be paid to the Moturoa Freezing Works and the Moturoa Petroleum Works. It is proposed that the gubernatorial party be then driven out to Mr Smith's farm at Omata, and on his return to town, the Nov Plymouth abbattoirs will be visited if time permits, His Excellency will be the guest of the Borough Councillors at luncheon at the Criterion Hotel,

The afternoon will bo spent at the Garden Fete in the Recreation Grounds, and in the evening His Excellency will be the guest of the De Burgh Adams Lodge, I.C. Lord Plunkett and party will leave on Thursday morning for Stratford, where he performs the ceremony of laying the foundation stone of the Stratford hospital. THE GARDEN PARTY, The following program me has been arranged in connection with the Garden Party and reception to His Excellency the Governor to-morrow : Procession: Garrison Baud, Taranaki Rifles aud Guards, eadet and school children, will leave Egmont sleet at 1.30 p.m., and arrive at ground at 1 p.m. Physical drill (Central School Cadets) 2 p.m.; scarf drill (Central School girls), 2.20 p.m.; physical drill (Taranaki Rifles Volunteer team), 2.40 p.m.; Selection, Garrison Band.

His Excellency will arrive at the ground at 3 p.m., the Volunteers acting as a guard of honor, and His Excellency the Governor will be met by the officials of the Garden Party and escorted to the main terrace. The children, massed on the sports ground, will then sing the National Anthem. Presentation of address by the Mayor will take place on the main terrace at 3.15 p.m. Graud March, poster and fancy dresses, at 3.45 p.m. His Excellency will inspect Hie Vetorans, under Captain Blandish and other officers, on sports ground, at 4 p.m.

The Governor will then be invited to partake of afternoon tea with the Mayor, Borough Councillors, aud members of Parliament.

After luncheon the Trustees of the Keeroation Ground will welcome the Governor to (he ground, and Mr Corkill (the Chairman) will show him over the grounds.
