FIRES.
PEB TBESS ASSOCIATION Auckland, February 19. A lire occurred in Clarence-strcef, Ponsonby, last night, two cottages of about 6 rooms each being destroyed. The damage totals about £6OO. On the way to the fire the reel crashed into a tram post and was badly damaged, and three men slightly injured. Dap.gavim.e, February 19. A (ire broke out at Aratapu at three o'clock on Sunday morning, and destroyed the premises occupied by Cooper (draper), Stubbs (tailor), and damaged the contents of Chadwick's store.
