NEW ZEALAND LOAN.
UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS. I Received 16, 1.0 a.m. Melbovhne, February 15. The New Zealand loan proved an unqualified success, largely due to the amount of money available here for investment and the attraction of a higher rate of interest. The tender amounted to £831,300 from the public, of which about a quarter of a million came from Sydney. Tenders at a £lOl 16s and over will be allotted in full, whilst those of £lOl 15s Od will receive about thirty-five per cent. The Underwriters will not be required to participate in the loan. Thoneman ic Co. were the largest contributors to the success of the operation, having tendered for almost half the total of the sum subscribed.
