ARBITRATION COURT'S AWARD
UNIVERSAL AWARD WANTED. PElt MESS ASSOCIATION. Duneuin, February 15. The Clothing Manufacturers 'nul the Tailoresses' Union have tiled with the Clerk of Awards a reference asking that the Clothing Mtnnfacturcrs'and Tailoresses of Auckl.uul be made parties to the award recently given covering the industrial districts of Wellington, Canterbury, Otago anil SoutVlaud, with a request that the application be heard at tho ensuing sittings of the Court in Auckland, towards the cud of March. The Labor Department officials here have concluded an inquiry into the present friction in the clothing trade here, with respect to the under rale of pay, and have forwarded a report to the head office of the Department.
