The Rev. Arthur Fowler, who has been appointed to the curacv of Si. Mark's, Itcmiicrn, left New Plymouth for Auckland by the Takapuna on Thursday night. Sergeant Haildrell, who has been granted six weeks' leave of absence, left by Ihe mail train on Thursday morning for Taihapc, whence he purposes proceeding overland to the thermal district and Auckland. During the Sergeant's absence, Detective Boddam will be in charge of Ihe New Plymouth police station. The liev 11.
