Cole showed a stubborn defence and strong batting powers. Armstrong was the most successful bowler, securing six wickets for 2li runs Melbourne Cricket Club then went to the wickets, and at the call of time had lost two wickets for Dli runsMailer, c MeKenzie, b L. P. Cave, 13 ; Vaughau, bL. P. Cave, 12. ltnnsford (:>1) and Irwin are the not out men.
