Michael Regan, alias Michael Hagan, was lound guilty of breaking and entering, llu was remanded for sentence. lliis man has served eight previous sentence's, -VtTw.AM', February 5. Al the Supreme Court, Air Justice Kdwards, referring to the charge of manslaughter against the master of the Kapauui, pointed out that huniicide is culpable if an accident results from neglect to pci\l'orin any lawful duty. There was uu doubt Captain iiouthgatc did not obey the regulations and the result was that an accident happened. ]f the grand jury found this to be the case they must return a True Bill.

Wiauxuiu.-i, February 5. The Supreme Court Criminal Ses. sions opened to-day, before the Chief Justice. Only six persons were charged, and there were five offences charged against them. Three of these, His Honor said, in his charge to the grand jury, were of a sexual character. He had thoughl that. after what had taken place during the past year they would not have been troubled with this sort r.fcase,but unfortunately this was not so.
