At the Waltham Orhanage Enquirr to-day, Mr Norris, Secretary to the Charitable Aid Board, continuing his evidence , denied that lie dominated the Board, as alleged by Mrs Wells, or that Mrs Mells Ind deliberately been kept off the institution's committee, He was firmly convinced that Mrs Wells had been actuated by a desire to get him out of his position. 1 liere was no systematic inspection of the Orphanage The Matron had practically a free hand. He thought 7s (id a week was a fair charge for fcoarded-out children, seeing that the Government's regular payment was 7s.
The enquiry was a.ljounicl till 10.30 to-day.
