Final Water Polo: Wanganu; defeated Nelson by four goals to two. At the band contest the marching competition resulted : Masterton, 118} points, 1; Dcnniston, Mli.jpts, 2; Feilding, l,l4pts, 3; Nelson Garrison', 143 5-10, .1, The others finished in tlic following order: Temuka, Grey Volunteer, Grey Catholic, Nelson Citizens, Hokitika Citizens, Hokitika Volunteers. In the .evening the town was illuminated and there was a procession of motor launches in port, and a great Band and Fire Brigades' ilium mated procession, concluding with a masquerade carnival with dancing in Trafalgar-street, and confetti throwing. At 10 o'clock masks were removed, and the Mayor and the Hon. C. H. Mills gave short addresses, and the Carnival ended.
