THE STRATFORD BURGLARIES.

ARREST OF A SUSPECT. On Saturday afternoon Detective Boddam effected the arrest of a man alleged to have been concerned in a number of burglaries at Stratford on Thursday last. Accused, who is understood to be an Australian, well known to the police, and the possessor of quite an imposing list of aliases, was evidently working his way to Auekland A boat ticket for Onehunga found on him would seem to indicate, that but for police interference with his schemes, he would have left for Auekland on Saturday night. Accused will be brought before the Courl this morning. when a remand will probably be asked for by the police.
