VOLCANIC ERUPTION.
♦- LAVA AND STONES VOMITED. I'lill I'HESS ASSOCIATION'. Auckland, January 31. Tin' s.s. Hauroto, from Samoa, reports thai the volcanic Island Tofoa, seventy miles from Nukualofa, and thirty-live miles from Haapai, right iu the track of the Union Company' steamers, is emitting (lames at a great height., and vomoting lava and stones. This volcano had been dead for a number of years. The volcano at Saraii is blazing more fiercely than ever before.
