At the Waltham Orphanage inquiry to-day, evidence was given by Hugo Fricdlander, Chairman ol the Charitable Aid Board, rebuttiug tiro statements made re the conduct of the Orphanage. As far as he could judge the children had always good food and plenty of it. Kc had never seen the children in any way repressed. Had he been aware of the matron's use of improper language to the children, ho would have dismissed her. The enpiiry stands adjourned till Monday.
