EGG-LAYING COMPETITION.
TKB r-BESS ASSOCIATION. Christchtkch, December 28. The 34th week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's egg-laying competition at Lincoln College shows that 665 eggs were laid during the week, making a total to date of 22,395, and an average of 589.3 per pen. The best .otals for the week were:—R. E. M. Kvans, Silver Wyandottcs, 27 : Alexandra Foultry Co., White Plymouth Rocks 26; H. S. Cox, Buff Orpingtons, 24; J. H. Shaw, Brown Leghorns, 24; IL Hawke, Silver Wyandottcs, 24. The highest totals to date are:—H. Hawke, Silver Wyandottes, 902; J. Mann, White Wyandottcs, 805 ; J. H. Shaw, Brown Leghorns, 750; R. E. M. Evans, Silver Wyandottcs, 711.
