Received, December 24, 4.22 a.m. London, Decomber 24. Messrs Aird and Son are progressing with the construction of a barrage canal costing two millions. [Not long since the same firm, completed barrage works in Egypt, the cost of which, including indemnities, was £3,439,864 sterling.]
