Mf Deakiu thinks Mr Seddon's proposed visit to Australia is the result of an invitation sent liy the Federal Government, as the latter desired to confer with him with regard o postal, telegraphic, and other matters. At the annual meeting of the National Mutual Life Society the Chairman referred to the large volume of new business and [lie addition to the funds as being flic largest record of nonbusiness, surpassed by only t wo British offices.
