CHRISTMAS 'HOLIDAYS. POSTAL AItKANGEMEXTS. THE following arrangements will be observed for the Christmas and Ken' Year holidays POSTAL BRAKCH. Mails usually despatched on Mondays will be closed at 8 p.m. on Saturday nights; the 23rd and 30th inst., and supplementary mails made up on the Monday mornings. On the 26th inst. the usual despatch of mails will be made up to 8 a.m. A special delivery of correspondence will be madfc over the public counter between 8.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.m. on the evenings of the 23rd and 30th inst. On the 2tJth inst. one complete delivery by letter-carrier will be made at 8 a.m. Mondays, the 26th Dec. and Ist Jan. (Christmas Day and New Year's Day) will be observed as close holidays). Tuesday, the 26th inst. (Boxing Day) the Post Office will be open in all branches, except Money Order and Savings Bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. The private box lobby will be open from 9.30 a.m. to ',l p.m. on the 2«th inst. and Ist prox. Usual hours on tho 26th inst. The Kailway Travelling Post Office wiil run as usual. TELHGItAPH tltUNTir. On Monday (Christinas Day) Sunday hours will lie observed, viz., 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. On Tuesday (Boxing Day) and Monday (New Year's Day) the Telegraph Office will be open from 9 a.m. to i p.m. and 7 p.m. to midnight. The Telephone Exchange will be open between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Christmas Day, and ope® as usual on Boxing Day and New Year's Day. On Boxing Day the Opnnake coach will leave the Chief Post Office, >"ew Plymouth, at (> a.m. instead of 9.30 a.m. Mails for offices on the Opnnake coach line will close at 5.30 a.m. on the 26th inst.
