BRITAIN AND GERMANY.
PATCHING UP DIFFERENCES. Received '2O" 9.21 p.m. Beblin, December 20. The "Tagcblatt" states there arc indications that Sir H. Campbell-Ban-nerman (British Premier) will initiate a diplomatic discussion as to tho differences between Britain and Germany, and make the relations more friendly. The journal adds that it is understood Princo von Buelow (German Chancellor) congratulated, in particularly warm terms, Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman and Sir Edward Grey, whose replies are equally friendly. King Edward and the Kaiser-have latterly oxpressed a wish that everything should be done to reinoVe the existing discord., Londox, December 20. The." Daily News' " Berlin correspondent says rumors as to Sir H. Campbell-Bannerman's taking oilicial steps in the direction of better relations are of rather doubtful authenticity.
