A special meeting of the Auckland Hncing Club was held to-night relative to the unregistered partnership concerning the ownership of the three-yoar-old Apologue, and the two-year-old Sweet Alice. It; was decided that both horses should be disqualified for all races for which they have been wrongly entered, Apologuo is therefore ineligible to start for the Auckland Cup, the Summer Cup, A.II C Handicap, and Derby, and Sweet Alice for two races. Those two horses were submitted by auction recently by former partners j E. Thorpe and K. Clebmd, the latter buying the pair for 1000 guineas and 300 guineas. Mahutonga is still favorite for the Cup at 3 to 1, Quarryman ami Paritntu i tO 1. Owing to a good gallop this morning Glonowlct increased ii| favor for the liiulway Hundjoup.
