ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

PER PRESS ASSOCIATION. Wanganui, Deccmber,l3. The police have been informed that David Strachan, 87 years of age, and one of the oldest seitlers in the dtstrict, was found drowned in a creek at Okoia this evening. Deceased and a man named Lampshear were fencing, and as they did not return'for tea a search was made. Stratum's hut was found floating in the creek, and his body was subsequently taken out of the water. Lampshear has not been seen since, and it is presumed he also was drowned. His hat, coat, and waistcoat were found at the spot where they'had been working.
