The Carring"„on Club's seniors to play against New Plymouth on the Tukapn ground are:—Perham, Robortson (2), Bcnboiv, McArthuc, Richards. Hen icssey, Jordon, A. Bailey, A. McEwen anil Avery. The Carriiigton Road juniors play on their own ground to-day against Waitara. The home team comprises: Bullock. Saunders, Robottom, Lye, I Baker, Voung, Main, Colbeck, Wilson, Keid and Hammond. The sub-division of (he Taranaki (South) district has not proved a sue-1 c.-ss, and instead of continuing this I system the clubs will play as before. Fresh fixtures will be drawn.
It was hardly likely that tho Elthain, Stratford and Kaponga teams would relish a whole season of games amongst themsolves, leaving the Manaia, Normanbv and Hawera teams to enjoy themselves in a similarly parochial fashion.
The Midland's Club in Welling .oh put up a record on Saturday. It has four teams engaged in Cup fixtures, and each inflicted a defeat on its opposing team byucleu' innings and runs to sub 'e. |
