TARANAKI COUNTY COUNCIL.
SPECIAL MEETING. A special meeting of the Couuty Council was held on Monday. Present: Crs. G, V. Tate (chairman), Stevens, Hopson, Juli; i, Andrews, Ad'ain and Hill.
The following tenders were received for the deviation of Okura Hill: Falconer ,£272 2s (amended to £357 10s Cd); Bartl,> Harford £lB7 ; Hcnrickson and Wills £37!); Magee and Jenkins £O5l. 7s fid. The tender of Messrs Heurieksen and Wills was accepted. The traffic by-laws were considered, and Messrs Tate and Adlam appointed to confer with Mr Roy, county solicitor, on this matter.
Mr G-. Caliper's amended time-sheet m Moil riding was passed. It was decided to ask the Omata Road Board for particulars of cost of the drain, to which cost the Council was asked to contribute.
Mr W. .1. Clare offered to dismantle the old "Wnipukii bridge and stack the timber at £'22 7s lid,—Accepted, provided the Stratford County Council forego any claim in connection with the timber.
The chainnan reported the Miingtinaia bridge near the flour-mill at Sentry Hill was unsafe.—The bridge cnrpen,-. tor will report.
The Moa foreman. (Mr Bennett) recommended that the ,fcl()0 Government grint he spent in remelalliug Horrock's Mill on Junction road.— licport adopted.

Application will he made for £IOOO of bridge loan for rebuilding Munganui bridge on Tariki road.
