YOUNG HAN SHOOTS HIS SISTER. Melbourne, December !*'. A young man named Scanlon, at Bendigo, quarrelled with his sister and fired two or thivc shots from a revolver. She succumbed. The injured girl stated that it was her fanlt. Scanlon states that he intended to destroy himself and that his sister interfered and hn shot her. Scanlon has been arrested. The family came into prominence through coming into a large sum of money from the Tyson estates. Scanlon has been morose and sullen for some time past.
