Mr Carruthers has given notice to move: Tliat the House expresses dissatisfaction with llie treatment accorded! to this State by Itlxe Faderal Parliament in many matters of serious concern, especially with regard to the selection! of the capital site, and that the Government should, by as simple and effective a manner as they can devise, afford the electors an opportunity to express their opinion on the subject. The House passed loan estimates totalling £908,001), of which £607,'000 is for works already started, the balance being for new works.
