♦ 2TAPIEB WOOL SALES. l'Kll I'ISESS ASSOCIATION. Nai'ikk, Dec. 5. The first local wool sale of the season was held this evening, there bcin* n large attendance of local and foreign buyers. Some 803!) bales were submitted, and prices ruled rather higher than the opening sale of last year, but m many eases did not reach vendors ideas of value. The following prices were realised:—Merinos up to Is, half-! bred up to Is, liomncy-Lineolu cross up to 12id, fine cross-breds IOJd to Is medium cross-breds 9-id to lOjd, coarse cross-breds 9d to lod, lambs up to l()d pieces and bellies up to BUI, locks tin to od.
