OFFICIAL APPOINTMENTS.
Received 5, 10.2 p.m. Londox, December 5. Sir T. S. Sanderson, Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office, has been raised to the peerage. He is succeeded by Sir Chas. Hardinge at the Foreign Otlice. Mr John Atkinson, K.C., Attorney. General for Ireland, has succeeded Lord Litidley as a Lord of Appeal, Lord Lindley having resigned. Mr J. 11. M. Campbell, Solieitor-Gcneral for Ireland, succeeds Mr Atkinson. Sir Alfred Wills, Senior Justice of the King's Bench Division, who has just resigned, has been created a Privy Councillor.
