Political Notes.

Mr Mills addressed the electors a I'pland i\oad school on Wednesday ev cuing, a huge number being present. Mr Jiulcher occupied the chair. The speaker was applauded throughout and at the close a resolution of llanks, and indicating every conlidonce in Mr Mills, was carried with prolonged applause. On Thursday Mr Mills delivered his address to the electors at Mr Old's residence, Ilui'sthouse Road. The attendance was not large, on account of the rough weather. The address met with market approval, the candidnte stating that if returned lie would adhere to his proposed policy and look after thhe interest of the electorate and the progress of the colony in preference to being attached to a party, which latter is a great drawback to New Zealand. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Mills for his address. Mr J)ills will meet the electors at Albeit Road on Tuesday evening.

(Per Press Association.) NaPIEK, Nov. 29. Mr W.-T. MoOiath, a candidate icr Napier addressed the electors this evening. He favoured leasehold tenure and an Elective Council, lie stated that the Premier had cribbed the idea ol workmen's homes from Mr W. Heslop, of Tarnnaki. A vote of thanks and confidence, with continued confidence in the Government was eairied. On Priday evening air E. M. Smith addies-el about; GO electors in the Lower Egmont lload schoolliotise, The candidate was well received, and was loudly applauded for his action in the House re land tenure. Several ipiestions were asked, and Mr Smith was heartily thanked for his sirniglit-oul answers, and also for his able and very interesting address. Mr Smith speaks at Fvoru to-night.
