Davis, representing the New Zealand Alliance, and Mr NisonWard, representing the liquor triule. The usual arguments for and against No-Liceuse were steted in a friendly manner, the audience apparently being evenly divided. The points made by the speakers were heartily cheered by their supporters, there being als) at times indications of dissent. At the conclusion an attempt by one section to sing " Strike Out the Top Line" was drowned by the noise made by the other section.
