High School Board.
The monthlj meeting ot the NcW Plymouth High School Hoard was held on Wednesday afternoon, when, there were present : Messrs A. K. Macdiarmid (Chairman), D. Berry, E. Dockrill, Percy Smith, M. Fraser, J. H. Hoy, and F. H. Wilson.
On the recommendation of tho Chief Inspector of the Education Board, the offer of free tuition to Harold Hcslop, son of Mr W. llcslop, was made during the month, and accepted. Mr 0. A. Marchant's offer to inspect the Beard's reserves at Ngaire annually on very reasonable terms was accepted, and he will he requested to make the first inspection at once in view of the arbitration matter pending. On the application of the principal, instruct ions were issued to have certain repairs effected, in! the School gymnasium roofing. Mr 11 11. -Ward, head assistant, was given Iliree days' leave of al>sence in order 10 attend the University examinations- at New Plymouth, which has lieen made an examination centre for (lie first lime. Committiv ii was agrwd to donate Commit I?e it was agreed to donato the usual amount of to the School sports prize fund.. Accounts were passed for payment, and gymnasium roofing.
