rROTOSED VISIT OF. AN ENGLISH TEAM.. (Per Press Association.) CIIRISTCHURCH, Oct. 15. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council, hclil on Saturday night, the sulrtwmimittec appointed to draw up a report on the proposed visit of an English team recomiiiendtd that the best time would be the season of IDUM, the team to arrive about December in that year, and to hu an amateur team, or nearly so, and that arrangements should be made lor insuring a fixed minimum of gate takings. The estimated cost ol ihe visit was £2250. Consideration of the report was deferred until the next meeting on Get. 28.
