A -deputation representing Hie Chrlstehurch mid* Kunediri workers arrived ill Wellington this morning to press upon the members of the Housa the need for immediate 'action in regard to Uh: American Harvester Trust. The deputation included representatives, ot it'ho Christchurch implement trade, the workers' -executive, tho President lof the Canterbury Industrial Association, and tho Presidents of tho \ Chrisechurch and Danedin Trades and Labour Council, lh the morning the deputation g*re evidence before the Labour Hills Committee,; and 'supplied statistics and facts regarding the trust. In the afternoon it mat) ovw forty numbers of the House, mid tngvtl tlio need, for Immediate li"gislal ive action. The Premier. reply, saklf tbat the House recognised tho seriousness ot tha position awl would earncstlj consider ttoo representations made. The matter, had bwii brought forward at a very late stage of tho i session, he/waver, and a great deal ! of information was required before i action could 1)0 .taken with justice . to all panics. I
